Event Photography Emirates Stadium.
Last Wednesday I joined the staff at Bosche for their farewell dinner in honour of Alan Carter. Alan retires after many years at Bosche and has during his time there produced not only spectacular sales figures but also UK brand awareness for the German company. Alan is a lifelong supporter of Arsenal and so the choice of venue for the party was an obvious one.
Guests arrived at 7pm and drinks were served until everyone sat down for dinner at 8pm. There were a number of speeches and presentations made during the dinner and Alan made his speech after desert was served. Three large cakes complete with candles arrived from the kitchen which Alan and his wife blew out, clearly they are a popular couple within the company.
The party continued and the band started up. A good time was had by all and the guests left at midnight.
My brief was to photograph the party and provide Bosch with a set of retouched high res images. Copyright is always handed over to the client when the DVD is delivered, this means that the client can do whatever they like with the photographs without having to contact us continually for permission to use the photographs.
Event Photography London | The Registry Trust AGM at the Melia White House Hotel London.

On Wednesday evening I joined the organisers of The Registry Trust to photograph their AGM and reception at The Melia White House Hotel near Great Portland Street in central London.
Once the AGM was completed a question and answer session was taken by one of the directors and a drinks and canapés reception followed. Their new software developed for use by their members was also demonstrated during the reception.
The photographs will be used for various online and print purposes, and I will supply the Registry Trust with the high res retouched images on CD along with copyright.
Event Photographer London | The Association of Project Safety Annual Awards, The Plaza Hotel Riverside, Vauxhall.

On Thursday Evening I photographed the annual awards and dinner for The Association of Project Safety.
Awards were given to four young people whose projects and proposals for planning and infrastructure showed particular vision and promise. A number of awards were also given to Design and Engineering firms for outstanding work.
The stand up comedian Tim Clark was the MC for the evening and introduced the various speakers from RIBA and the world of Architecture and Engineering who presented the awards.
It was clear that much effort is being made by the firms at this event to foster young up and coming talent, and their work was displayed for guests to view on the way into the reception. The guests enjoyed a three course dinner followed by Tim Clark’s stand up set.
The finished high res. retouched photographs will be provided to the APS tomorrow and posted on my website for guests to view.
Party Photographer London | Opening of The Chisswell Street Dining Rooms, Chisswell Street, London.

The new Chisswell Dining Rooms bar and restaurant opened for business last night. About 300 of the owners suppliers and friends were invited to the party, I was asked to photograph the event and supply prints to them to send out as thank you cards.
The Chisswell Dining Rooms are owned by the ETM group founded by brothers Tom and Ed Martin. They now have quite a stable of traditional and contemporary bars and restaurants in London which include The Hat and Tum, The Well, The Botanist, The White Swan, The Gun, The Prince Arthur and the Cadogan Arms.
Event and Party Photography | Ogilvie Action, ‘Paris Nightlife Event’ at the Maddox Club London

Last night my assistant, Richard and I joined the Olgivy Action team at the Maddox Club in London. Our brief was to photograph their 300 guests in front of a Paris backdrop and supply all of the guests who took part with instant prints to take home as a momento of the evening.
The purpose of the event was to educate attendees of an upcoming brand launch in an exciting way and get them behind it. Giving a photograph to the guests of themselves during the evening is a great way for the host, particularly if the party is branding exercise, to show that they are valued as a customer.
In order to produce a large volume of high quality of prints at an event we use specialist printers that can print a 6″x4″ print in under 15 seconds, and along with high end digital cameras and computers our workflow can cope with very large volumes of people and subsequent prints.
Corporate Event Photographer London | Michael Else, Charterers P&I Club 25 years celebration.

Last Wednesday I photographed the Charterers P&I Club party celebrating 25 years in business. Michael Else and Company Ltd hosted the celebrations which started at the Tower Bridge Jetty on the Thames where the guests were taken by river clipper to Greenwich.
The guests then made their way from the wharf at Greenwich to The Queens House, which is part of the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich.
The weather could not have been better and the guests enjoyed drinks outside before going into the Dining room where dinner was served.
The fact that the guests were outside for the most part and the interior of the building is very light made my job photographing the event all the more easier and the organisers were very pleased with the results. They have ordered a large number of prints and have also booked me to photograph the staff at Michael Else.

Waldorf Hilton Event Photography.
On Monday I spent the day and early evening photographing the Vetex Conference at the Waldorf Hilton in central London. Vertex is a tax software company based in Philadelphia and has branches in the UK and around the world. Around 100 delegates from various industries attended the seminars and various breakout sessions held during the day.
Larry Elliott, the ecomnomics editor with the Guardian newspaper, pictured above, was their guest speaker. Larry spoke about the cyclical nature of global economics, and other speakers throughout the day shared their thoughts and opinions on the Vertex software itself.
The Palm room at the Waldorf Hilton is a fantastic room for photography as the room is full of natural light which meant I was able to take some good images of the Vertex delegates during the day and at their drinks party in the evening.

Party Photography London | Uwe Haneck’s (CEO of Bosche) Retirement Reception

On Thursday evening at The Royal Horseguards Hotel, 1 Whitehall Place we photographed Uwe Haneck’s retirement party. Mr. Haneck was the CEO of Bosche UK, and until last Tuesday he had no knowledge that the reception celebrating his retirement had been arranged.
Around 140 guests attended and thet were a mix of family and friends, and work colleagues and associates. We set up a small studio in the room where the drinks reception was held and we took group photographs of the guests many of which included Mr. Haneck. We then printed these photographs for the guests to take away with them at the end of the evening. We find this always works very well at events and it is a great way for the hosts to give something to their guests as a reminder of the evening.
A four course dinner was then served on the reading room, see photo above and we continued photographing the speeches. We also produced an album which was presented to Mr. Haneck at the end of the evening which contained all of the studio group photographs we’d taken earlier and a number of the other fun casual shots.

The Hotel group Novotel asked us again this year to photograph their Staff Christmas Party. They have their staff Christmas party in January for various reasons; they are too busy in December to have the party, and also it is an ideal time to make presentations to key staff as their yearly figures are published in January.
This year the theme was ‘Wild West’ and the staff were all given a choice of fancy dress, the cast of ‘Toy story’ various western villans and damsels in distress attended. The manager of the hotel was dressed as a sheriff.
A western style saloon studio was set up for us to to take fun studio style photographs and supply prints on the night for the guests. This is always very popular at large parties and it is an excellent way for the hosts to give away something to the guests to take home with them.
We also ran our ‘Real time slideshow’ in conjunction with the western studio set, a huge screen was set up at the end of the room by the dance floor. We load up and update a selection of the best photographs taken during the evening for the guests to see which in turn makes the studio photography and free prints even more popular.
Event Photography London | Energiser Christmas Party, Harte and Garter Hotel Windsor

On Friday night I drove through the snow to The Harte and Garter Hotel in Windsor where the Energiser Christmas party was held. It was a black tie event held in the ballroom at the Hotel.
There were three caracturists at the party who managed between to draw just about all of the guests and a magician kept eveyone entertained between the courses. It was obvious that eveyone knew one another well which was good from a photographers point of view as most of the guests were moving around and I managed to shoot lots of different happy groups.
At the end of the meal the most amazing light show was put on. The two performers used long LED batons to create a huge variety of colours and shapes including the ‘Energiser’ logo which the audience was very impressed by.
